I am a mom, a student, a wife, and a blogger (obviously) and it is hard to find time to read when everything is in full swing. Luckily I am also an avid me-time enthusiast. I plop down with a book in my hand (or a Kindle, iPhone, Nobi) whenever I get the opportunity. I don’t read the local paper, I have social media for that, so I sit down with my current book when I drink my much needed
sanity coffee in the mornings before getting ready for the day. Also, when I can’t sleep or need to just relax I turn to my Kindle. Whoever thought off a back-light on a reading device was freaking genius. Does anybody remember those book light clippy thingies??? I hated trying to maneuver those things around a good thick book.
Well, I tend to keep a pretty long “to-read” list on Goodreads at any given moment, and I tend to just add to it anytime I get on the site. I read a wide variety of books, it depends on what mood I’m in. Mystery, romance (not Harlequin), thrillers, supernatural, sci-fi, and yes, even YA books. Don’t judge! Let’s give a big shout out to the adult age YA book fans out there! I have a smallish list of books I want to read before summer is upon me and my son gets out of school for the year and I really hope I get through them.
- Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
- The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
- Orange Is the New Black by Piper Kerman
- The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
- Out of Oz (Wicked Years #4) by Gregory Maguire
- Riding the Rap (Raylan Givens #2) by Elmore Leonard
