Review: Dark Sacrifice

dark sacrifice

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Dark Sacrifice is the second book in Angie Sandro’s series about Mala LaCroix and her JuJu filled life. She sees dead people, literally. And she just got through a pretty traumatic situation in Dark Paradise (book one) only to be shoved out of the frying pan and into the dark magic induced fire. Along with having to figure out her supernatural abilities, she is also trying to figure out her love life.

The beginning of this book through me for an emotional filled loop, but it quickly corrected itself. There was some pretty frustrating stubbornness going on in the romance department. Thank goodness to, it was about time! Sometimes men are clueless, well maybe all the time. After getting out of the psych ward at the local hospital, and getting her crush out of prison, Mala is accosted by some pretty pissed off ghosts. She heads to New Orleans where some great, and not so great, surprises are waiting for her.  Poor Mala can’t win for loosing.

Angie Sandro knows how to make her readers fall in love with all of her characters. Her writing style is spot on and it flows like a good movie. She makes her books read like you are living it.

While she finally figures out what she wants out of her love life, Mala has just began to figure out what her life is going to hold for her and how to live in it. Want to read about Mala’s misadventures in Paradise Pointe? Pick up Dark Paradise and start reading the series, you won’t regret it! Dark Redemption is going to release on September 9th.
